london: coffee culture city!

Coffee! It’s so delicious! Where can you get some of the world’s best coffee…? London. The coffee experience is sometimes extraordinarily exquisite, or sometimes plain and simple yet deliciously sweet, creamy, and frothy! Two of our favorite cafes are in Shoreditch, near Old Street Station: Look Mum No Hands and the Timberyard. I used to frequent these two cafes while Wes was working at DB and I needed a place to study. I remember quite clearly sitting in the corner of the Timberyard sipping on the best cappuccino I’ve ever been served on the European or American continents. They also managed to purchase one of the highest end La Marzocco espresso machines on the market. A beautiful red one. Look Mum No Hands also had a great machine, one of my favorites actually, called the Kees van der Westen double Mirage. It’s a great machine with a modern industrial design, parting from the traditional and boxed Italian machines. The great thing is that they’re located on the same block, so once you feel the need to change the scenery, just go for a short walk down the street for a different feel and atmosphere. Man, do we miss Shoreditch, such a happening place nowadays!
